What is sperm made of?

A sperm cell is mostly tightly-packed DNA in the head, a midpiece full of energy-producing mitochondria, and a tail for swimming. The surrounding semen is mostly water plus fructose (sperm fuel), enzymes, zinc, vitamin C and proteins.
